Tummy Tuck vs. Thump Flats

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.
Risking a "Too Much Information" response, I thought I'd post what's going on in my head (and further below) this week. It seems that I have developed a hernia and I am going in for a surgical correction (aka "tummy tuck" to those at work) on Friday. Fine.
The following week, I was scheduled to get my snow wheels removed and have the ThumpFlats reinstalled for spring. However, given the 15 pound maximum lift the surgeon has ordered, I am frustrated. My thumpflats are stored in my cellar and have to be hoisted up and into the car. And then, the snows have to be transported back into the bowels (oops, they are on my mind) of the cellar again.
So: What to do? Priorities! I spose I can hire a neighborhood kid to do the heavy lifting, but wondered if anyone had any suggestions?

two thoughts...
1. Wait.
2. Get rid of the thump flaps. ...just seems as you must not like 'em if you're calling them "thump flats."
Personally...I'm going to let mine start making that dreadfull noise...then take my car in along with the attached.

Sounds like a perfect excuse to ditch the runflats. Treat yourself to some new wheels (style 166 seem popular on this forum) and normal tyres - you'll appreciate the smooth ride. Definitiely don't give yourself another hernia lifting your wheels out of the cellar. Perhaps you could sell your old wheels and tyres on eBay - buyer collects (from cellar)?
