My Ride: 2011, X6 Hybrid . Alpine White , every option. 20" Conti' NON runflats,OEM trunk spoiler , LUX V3 AE's , HP Thunder Fogs , custom front bumper reflector delete........

I bet he has a Touring, my X5 has a soft close "trunk"

My E60 is a Late 2007 535d straight from Germany. All the doors including the trunk come with soft close as an option.

According to BMW description it would be only doors and not trunk: http://www.bmw.com/com/en/insights/technol..._automatic.html

At least I don't hear the motor when closing the trunk, I have to try it couple of times again but I think there is no soft close for my trunk.
