Is it sure that there is one for E60 trunk? Because I think Soft-Close is only for the doors and not for trunk.

Haha. Now when we are through with this door thing then I am still puzzled what the original poster was trying to tell - I want my soft-close trunk (I already have the doors but I think my trunk is just ordinary).

Hey cochi, need some clarification here Buddy. What is this Soft Close problem you are referring you? None of us have this feature on our trunks, or any other part of our car...

Let's say that some of us have it in the other parts of the car but not in trunk.

I think the OP is using the wrong terminology. The E60 trunk won't hang halfway between open and close. It shuts if not fully open past a certain point. I wouldn't call it a soft close like the door operation. I'm guessing his can hang halfway open now.

It is actually quite nice option. The doors are quite heavy and this option helps, some might think it is useless option but I like it. It would be even better if it would be included also for trunk.

...It would be an even nicer if BMW offered a soft close tailgate option on its sports wagons and SUVs as do Audi and others. As it is, my M61 has the auto " loud slam" tailgate option (as opposed to the manual loud slam one that is standard).

Could the OP be referring to the easy-close system on the E61?
