Will an M-Sport steering wheel taken from a 2006 530i with the M-Sport package transplant plug and play into a 2006 550i with just the regular sport package?

I am desperate to find a thicker steering wheel for my 550i and I'm thinking that this might be the easiest and simplest route to go. I like the M-Sport wheel because it has the bolsters at the 10 and 2 positions and is a bit thicker in the hand. Will such a transplant work?
