I took my car into the dealer today for the complementary vehicle service clinic and the only thing they said that was wrong was the transmission pan and seal is leaking. Estimated $755. I wanted to make sure and see if that is the transmission filter pan? If it is, I'm sure I could replace that and at the same time do a fluid flush. Is this the part they are talking about? I would think so.

turboawd provided a pdf that explains the parts and procedure
The o-ring on the mechatronics sleeve is also known to cause leaks.

OP,
Usually it's the gasket on the pan, had the same problem awhile back. Find out if the $755 includes new fluid or reuse of old fluid. If it's fresh OEM fluid, then it's not a bad deal. If it's a reuse, then forget it and just order the parts and fluid. It's not that difficult to replace the pan and gasket and fill it fresh fluid. I just did my 2nd change last weekend.

you can get new pan (with filter) and the gasket assembly for around $150. New fluid is around $100 (for 6 qts). Drain old fluid, drop the pan, clean up, put new pan on, pour new fluid with a pump (pump costs less than $20 at any auto parts store). I'd say 1 to 2 hours of work depending on how good you are with wrenches :-)

Ok, thanks for the help guys. I don't think ill be paying $755 if it's not a bad diy project. I have just over 100k on it so it's due for a fluid change anyways.
