whats the difference between the colors?
how much did they cost you?
are the solenoids variable, or do they just simply actuate on and off?

did you inspect or take apart the old solenoids, and inpsect for debris or obstructions?
The entire video was me removing the valve body.. so yes, of course I had to remove the valve body to replace them

The different colors are different solenoids, some are "naturally" open, some are "naturally" closed, some are pressure regulators, some are on/off switches basically. By naturally I mean whether fluid will flow through them when they don't have any electricity applied.

I think about $500, thectsc.com has them

Both.. there's one or two that are simply on/off, but most of them are called "EDS" solenoids that means they are pressure regulating. They do what it sounds like they'd do

I blew air through a few of the old "naturally closed" ones that should not have let any air through, and they leaked. The new ones would not let any air through at all. I didn't take them apart to look for any debris though, perhaps I will do that this weekend

thanks for the reply. i'd be curious as to why the old solenoids let air through. do they have o-rings inside?

I am not sure how they seal--Attached is a PDF that has some pictures of a solenoid disassembled though

I had to reduce the file size in order to upload the document, so apologies if any of the pictures are no longer very clear

(page 13/14)
