Does it matter? ANY car you buy will depreciate (there's a reason I would only buy CPO). If you want a car that will remain the same or go up in value visit a classic car auction, otherwise, it's a car - not an investment, because if you consider it an investment you are delirious.

There is one car that holds value like no other make of car , the acura nsx.

I am a dealer. BMW's and Mercedez always drop in pricing. I can buy a 06 530 with say 30k on the motor for about 20 grand. It's sad I know..
When you say "about 20 grand", do you mean more like 24-25k? My manheim report proves you slightly off on that one, pal

They are only lying when their lips are moving....it's assumed when you walk into any dealership. You need to go elsewhere.
Ditto Dat Doc. I just sold my 740i for $7600 yet my dealer offered to give me $2200 off the purchase of my $67K 535xi! Go elsewhere like Craig's list.

Same price as a used Ford Taurus!

Maybe the previous poster is correct, never buy a new BMW, only used.
Let someone else fix all the fragile computer sensors, and take the $30,000 loss.

One of the reasons I bought BMWs is the resale value.

Now that BMW is in the same resale value league as Jaguar, Range Rover, Cadillac and Lincoln, it may be time to go Japanese.

Dang!

You would be better off totalling the car somehow.
