If they trace the fault to the trailer wiring, then no chance, if the wiring is not found and they have no cause to suspect third party work on the car then probably.

I am pretty sure that the trailer wiring has nothing to do with it. It sounds like a seat mat sensor that triggered an error at the same time you have got the tow bar installed.

BTW, i got a towbar installed to tow my Jetski

Hahaha Yer it's a 3seater... It was a lot bigger in person than i imagined when i bought it.
But in Australia, No one buy's the stand up ones..
BTW, it only weighs 300kg
