My Ride: 2003 X5 3.0----->gone 2004 Porsche Cayenne S : Gemballa front and back bodykit, fabspeed bypass pipes, Gemballa exhaust pipes, full option, 20" factory sport design rims------>gone 2005 545i 6-spd manual---->de-badged, CDV removal, Autosolutions short shift kit, resonator removal, premium package, PDC, xenon, almost full options, hardwire V1 install ....looking for mods... 2007 550i 6-spd----> Premium package, sport package, Logic7, heated everything, Rogue Engineering SSK, CDV removal, hardwire V1 install, aFe cold air intake, Custom Magnaflow exhaust....

Hey just wondering if anyone removed the speed limiter on a 545....how fast would it go??? I tried top speeding my car and it went 155mph in 6th gear with 5000 rpm and i know it could go much faster. Anyone tried this??

There's really no where safe to go faster than 100 here in FL. Cops and traffic everywhere.

Hmmmm.....also wondering.....the speedo goes up to 160mph but i think a derestricted 545 should top that.....how would i know if there are no speed indicators...anyone know??

if you have the head up display, it should tell you exactly how fast you are going.

Damn i donthave that....anyone know how to program the GPS to show that??

Get an aftermarket GPS like the Garmin. It shows exact speed.

dammit that would make the dashboard look ugly....i thought there are ways to program the current one to show speed....no??>

Here is an easy way to determine your speed without a speedometer. I had to use it when the gauges in my truck went dead. It should work with any car that has a trip computer that tracks average speed.

Select average speed on you dash display. As your speed climbs, just reset the average. The speed that comes up will be your current speed. Just continue to reset as needed.
