I am using TMC here in Europe together with SatNav Pro. Very useful. However just get trafic info located on the map for motorways, NOT for cities like Paris whereas it's displayed in text mode (navigation/trafic info) when I tune on the right radio station. Also TMC is very slow.

I have read somewhere on this forum that it's coming with post week 9 production cars and/or new software.

Are you using this for non motorways roads ? Does it work well ? Any idea if this problem is supposed to be fixed or not and when/how ?

You will not get information for crowded city streets fr example, the TMC don't have the infrastructure there to support it.

In the UK we get information on our motorways AND 'A' roads, I suppose it depends on each coutry's implememtation of TMC.

When you say TMC is slow, do you mean slow to lock on to a signal and appear in i-drive? If so, this is a known problem with the current s/w versions.

Thanks. Here in France we can get information for all major streets in big cities. I can see the information in text mode but it's not located on the map. Only motorways are.

Yes that's what I mean by slow. Hope it will be fixed in further release.

I don't think so. You need RDS stations broadcasting TMC data. I am not in the US but I have seen many discussions around this on the forum.

Works very well in Europe, maybe somewhere else.

Found this on the forum. Adding non-motorway traffic information seems to be something new with post week 9 cars.

Luxembourg is a small city for such traffic information to be transmitted but I understand from your postings that you have exactly what is described in the above thread.

Would be great to get the feedback of someone in Europe using TMC and driving a post week 9 car to check whether this problem is actually fixed or not.
