Prior changing out my runflats for PS2's I tried several times disabling the DSC and flooring it with the car is DS. I guess I thought I would remove the runflats while on the car because I deposited a fair amount of rubber on the pavement.

Yesterday I was up on Whidbey island cruising on some back roads and tried this again. To my suprise the tires did not break loose. I have not had a software change, so either this is due to 1. the increased grip of the new tires or 2. the approx. 60 lbs of bass box and amplifier I have in my trunk ready to be installed tomorrow.

At 56 years of age spinning the tires is a little juvenile, but I have to admit I was dissappointed. I don't really want to do it so much as know I could if I wanted to. I enjoyed it a little more in the M3 SMG where both tires would spin due to the LSD.

Am I missing some other cause?

PS2's didn't cause my car to stop wheel spinning. It took 20.01.00 to do that. So, I am not sure what the issue is. Note that all of my wheel spinning has been induced with both DSC and DTC off. Give turning both off a try.

I really don't think that even the ps2s can deliver that much grip so that no wheel spin couldn't be achived anymore. Come on...nail the throttle with dsc off. Play with the steering wheel if u want...it's gota brake traction.

Just tried it again and they broke loose. Now I feel better.

THERE IS NO CURE!

Me too, but I refuse to grow up. Why spoil the fun?
