Tire rotation on 124's

My Ride: 2012 535i M package
Hello Everyone I have the #124 wheels on my car the tires are now about 5k.maybe a dumb question can someone help me out my question is.
at how many miles do you have to rotate the tires? and also how does the dealer do the rotation since the rear wheels are bigger ??

I know I havent, and for many of my cars in the past , I didnt. A service technician had once told me , he does nothing because our cars, or certain cars suspension is just not the same as your regular econo car where you would rotate the tires and so forth
I could be wrong.. =)

I dont believe you do, weve had many discussions prior considering you have a staggerred fit.. assuming your alignment is correct, theres no benefits to rotating tires, or in some cases, its a hassle and can lead to damaging the wheels /and or tires

My Ride: E90 330i + E60 550i
if you have nondirectional tires, it doesnt hurt to flip them from side to side. if you cant do it yourself in 15 minutes, then I wouldnt bother paying a shop to do it.

BMW recommends that you not rotate your tires, even if they are not staggerred.
I have no idea for the logic.
I am following the recommendation, as it saves a bit of time, and I don't care about losing 2000 miles of extra use.

Also most tires have a rolling direction.
No rotation for obvious reasons for the 124's.

Reason is because BMW is rear wheel drive and Rears wear out faster than the fronts, for normal people it is not as safe to have worn out fronts than rears. Less traction in the fronts is more dangerous for rear wheel drive as you dont have the traction to properly steer the car.
On a front wheel drive it doesnt matter, the front wheels are doing everything, steering, driving, pulling everything, so that will wear out faster than the trailing rear so when you rotate the "good" rears come to the front.
so thats the reason.
As for Staggered wheels NEVER rotate rear to front... you dont want wider fronts than rears And like said with proper alignment there would be no need to rotate side to side. You dont get much, if any benefit to make it worth while.

I'm not rotating mine because I want them to wear out so I can replace these run flats. As soon as one tire gets a little worn-looking, I'm replacing all four.

You should rotate your 123's.
For safety reason, always the better tires rear.
