I just went over 6K miles on the car and it's time to see what it will do in the quarter mile. If we had an oval, formula course or any reasonable straightway here in Southern Maryland I'd check the top end out too but this will have to do for now. Having never done this before (legally) I'd appreciate any advice any of you may have on how to get the best out of the car. Only going to do this once to see what it'll turn in the quarter then it's back to cruising two lane country roads at just enough speed on the straights and in the corners to keep things real interesting. The track is Budds Creek, Maryland International Raceway. the event is the Time and Tune on Nov. 12th. Post here or PM me. Thanks and I'll look forward to hearing from you.

Take the golf clubs, gym bag and everything not bolted down out of the trunk. Check all fluid levels, tire pressure should be at the high speed pressures, use premium gas and wear a helmut. You'll have a great time!

Budds Creek is a good place to find out how your ride performs in the 1320, but next spring cruise up to Summit Point Raceway, and take it out on the track. Check out the BMWCCA, National Capital Chapter website for the club schedule, and by the way join and get yourself a BMWCCA Maryland Plate.

Here is the website: http://www.nccbmwcca.org/

I take this to mean you found some stretch of secluded open road where you have been doing some runs?
