The delay is not as noticeable as in my old E46 2000.

Alohalc, What is your mileage right now ? Mine is 8k in 6 months of ownership. Is that considered alot ? Btw, I just took picture when my mileage reached 7777 recently. , the numbers represent 'LUCK' to me. I will take pic again when it hits 8888.

Have any of the software upgrades eliminated the throttle delay? I notice it in

D mode not D/S. Also w/? a/c? on it is less marked. Is there a fix for this?

Happens alot? w/? engine warm and from a standing start. Really annoying.

If its the same as the X5's, its a coding issue.

Does turning up the idle help

i kind of remember a member in here asked the tech to do this for his car and it actually helped. but to be honest, i don't think it's simple like that. otherwise the dealers would adjust this with no problem. why would they keep telling us that's normal ?

i'm not sure . but i know it's less than 3k and my babe is 5 months 3 weeks old . i think 8k miles in 6 months isn't that bad. some of the members here have a much higher number .

i almost took a pic when my mileage went from two digits to three and when three to four . but it'll take a long while to hit five digits .

Modes on the Steptronic. D is regular driving, DS is sport mode, which allows higher RPM before shifting gears.

The delay is characteristic of this car, unfortunately. I highly doubt it will ever be corrected, if even correctable. Make sure you have plenty of room before you change lanes in traffic!

The sad thing is, my cousin's G35 gets on it nicely when you gas it (downshifts and goes!).

Hmm, 30K vs 52K. Shouldn't mine react faster????

:'( :'(

not necessarily ..... but yours SHOULD ride nicer, be more luxerious, and give you a bigger ego ;-)
