Things 2004 e60 had better be able to do soon
So I'm cruising in my loaner (325i) today and it has Sirius. After driving with it for an hour or so, I realized I would really, really like to have to have it in my 545i. Apparently I can't. When they fix this problem in September for the my2005 cars, I'm going to be really annoyed if I can't have it in mine. In the same way, I'm going to really, really hurt someone if I can't have bluetooth in the next few months. I know no one made any promises, but I'd be pretty damn angry if that's not going to be done. I expect to pay too much money for it, but I'd like to have it (and no I couldn't really wait until my2005 for my car because my 98 had all but died and the 1.5 weeks I had no car was pretty difficult for the family--it's just not possible to live without a car in metro Atlanta).
Peace.

I know the feeling....except I haven't purchased yet. still waiting to see that the sirius issue is resolved and the BT is confirmed.... had $$ on the table back in march and just as I was about to close the deal I found out about the sirius/nav issue.... been waiting ever since..
in my case, this is a play car, I already have a reliable everyday car...
The last thing I heard with regard to MY2005 545i, options sheet was the you still cannot order a 545i with Nav and SAT radio......
Where did you get your 545 from in the Atlanta area?

I ordered mine from Nalley BMW. I got connected to Adrian through the Dealers Forum on Bimmerfest.com. He has been great to deal with and gave me a good price. Will report back after delivery with my final opinion.

cool, I've visited every dealer except Hank Aaron so far just to get a feel for the dealerships...
Global seems to be the biggest/most flexible...
United is ok, kinda small
Nalley doesnt seem to bad
.....oh well, we'll see...

Well if it makes a difference, I've seen Hank Aaron a good five or six times. Oh, and they have Krispy Kreme donuts delivered every morning. Sometimes I stop by just for a free donut.
Anyway, my experience with them is mostly service, not sales. I like my service manager there--guy named David Stanley. Of course I did just buy a car from them, but the woman who sold me the car has moved on (more or less) so I can't say too much about them. They're friendly, typically don't do a pressure sales pitch and as I've mentioned elsewhere their loaner policy is good.
Comparing them to the NJ dealership I used to deal with, I'll take these guys, and I didn't have problems with that dealership (except once, over a loaner).
Peace.
