I just got an 08 535i. I test drove the 528 and didn't think it was anything special. When I test drove the 535i I fell in love. However, I tried to save a couple thousand and bought a NON-certified pre owned, with 54,000 miles on it for $27,000. Rookie move. Within a couple months I pumped $3,000 in repairs into it and my wife and I were left stranded twice. My car is finally probmlem free and I absolutely love it... It's kind of like a high maintenance, super hot girlfriend- She has been a huge pain, but I wouldn't trade her for anything. Just be sure to have a mechanic look at it before you purchase it, or get one that's CPO, and/or has a warranty. Good luck!

Its the same conclusion we arrived at on post #2 or #3... 4 pages later.... 
No disrespect to wynnsayz for asking questions but there have been 3 total threads about one persons quest to pick the right car... Edmunds, KBB and any other website could have given you all the necessary info about the models you were interested in. Its like buying any other car... And after all, its a car!
Maybe I woke up on the wrong side of the bed or something... I am starting to sound like a couple other members here...
