I had the car examined by a garage earlier today but I didn't get a report. If BMW accepts its fault then there would be no insurance coverage needed that's what I'm going for. BTW why does nobody seem to like the headlights trim. BTW NOBODY has answered my earlier question: Would I have any damage with front wheels and stuff (hubs, suspension etc.)
If you hit the curb you could have major damage, also you could be leaking brake fluid and that may be the reason for no brakes in your earlier post

I heard on the news recently that the UK guy was arrested, 'allegedly' the problem was the nut behind the wheel, not the nut holding accelerator together!

If the fence that you hit was a wire fence then there was a lot of give in the fence and that is why air bags did not deploy, in a way you should be happy they did not deploy as your $10k damage would be close to 20k if they had to replace two airbags.

By the way, whoever's fence you ran into may be looking for you to pay for damages to the fence. If you are doing a police report you had better make reference to the fence or you may be charged with a hit and run

It was a wired fence yes but there were cement towers holding the wired fence and I knocked down two of them too.

So that's like a third (or say a quarter) of the cost of a new one?

Looking at the pics (and no engineer's report), some expensive body shops out there.

Your whole front suspension, wheels could be bent, alignment for sure, check your tires for any bubbles.
