i had a drive in a E39 and it had teletext. does the bus nav have it aswell?

also the bus nav shows POI (points of interest), does it give there infomation like there phone number?

 

Teletext is a NO !
Not even the nav pro has it...
It is supposed to come with the TV function, but it isn't...
POI is a YES !
On both, the business and the professional nav.

 

I have only had a brief look but the German POI list looks a lot more exhaustive than the UK ones.

Who is responsible for compiling POI's. Is it Navtech? And do they charge establishments for being in it?

I haven't noticed any. You can get directions though since you are driving.

 

The POI's are in the NavTeq dataset. They normally work with a 3rd party (e.g. a travel service like Fodor's, etc). The POI's are just another layer in the dataset. I'm sure in some markets Navteq doesn't have any POI data.

 

And some POI's have phone numbers.
