TCU not working

My Ride: 2006 550i
Model Year: 2006
So my 550i wont pick up my phone and the SOS button is not working!
My SA said the TCU will need replacement but before I do that is there anything
I can check first...fuse? I know the TCU is in the trunk but where abouts?
I want to check all the fiber lines first.
Thanks for any insight! Any one else ready for Spring/summer?
