I had those lights came on before but my is not a AWD. Its possibly could be steering angle sensor. Try stay in park and turn your wheel left and right several times see if the malfuction come up. If is it then it have to the steering angle sensor. What i did was pulled the sensor out, took it apart and clean it. Since then it works fine.

I had the same issue as post #10 above. Mine is not AWD though. I had the SZL replaced (fortunately under warranty) however, the part was about $550. When I got it installed, the tilt steering adjustor didn't work so they had to reprogram that function back in. Check out this thread:

Good Luck!

Dealer changed the brakes and rotors (so they are in pretty much brand new condition) Car is out of warranty so I'm gonna have to pay for it myself. So I brought it to one of the car shop and after diagnosting it for a while I was told that I have problems with the Transfer Case. In a first place they thought it was a Steering Angle Sensor, but after checking it was just fine. The brand new parts + labor would cost me ~ $2,200 or $1,800 for used ones.

So I wanted to get a 2nd opinion and brought it to 12V (the other shop in Brooklyn, NY). Now these guys keep telling me that my problem is the Steering Column Module (est. cost is ~ $900)... I am confused. Don't want to bring it to BMW dealer since only diagnostics might cost me more than the cost of the parts. Neither I want to pay for the parts that are working fine at this time

Please help!
I had those exact same symptoms and the solution was just a new battery.

I had the same issue before with wipers and sealt belt restraint and others poped up at the same time. I freaked out and disconnected the battery and let it sit for a bit then restarted and it was fine after that. I just hope it doesnt do that again.
