Suspension refresh...
My wife's car has 66k miles on it and the tie rods are shot. I was planning on replacing those as well as the shocks with Koni Sport (mainly because of mileage). I plan on tossing on some sway bar bushings as well (I'm assuming they are cheap), but I'm wondering if I should replace any other items while I'm in there.
I had thought about replacing control arms and sway bar links figuring I might as well at this mileage for preventive maintenance but after looking at the pricing, I'm rethinking the wisdom of tossing lots of money at parts that haven't officially broken yet.
Just curious on thoughts on what makes sense to replace at this mileage and knowing that I'll need to get an alignment anyways.

You're complaining about control arm bushing prices yet you're worried about shocks?
I don't think the shocks should be a problem with this mileage and I am also assuming your wife doesn't track the car.
Just replace the thrust arm with ball joint if yours is worn and tie rod ends.
