Default Sunroof Reset after battery Disconnect?

Just as the title says.. do you have to reset the sunroof after disconnecting the battery terminal?
How about any other resets or things you have to do?

I royally screwed up my sunroof in my e39. after disconnecting the battry the sunroof never worked right and i had to replace it.

i'd like to wire my AE's to turn on with unlock of key fob (pre lci) and need to run wires into the door because i have no footwell lights so i must go in the door and behind the door panel to tap the 12v puddle lights. In theory i will need to disconnect the airbags.

thanks for your time

If you disconnect the battery before you disconnect the airbags, you should be fine. I did this when working on front door panels and the steering wheel.

Thank you VK Hong. Excellent video that gave me the confidence to do the reset and understand the process clearly. I did this after replacing the sunroof seal (due to wind noise) and I had the windscreen rattle and after the new seal was installed - I did the initialization and that allowed the sunroof to go far enough forward to mush down the linkage on the windscreen so no more wind noise or rattle!
