Sunroof Issue

My Ride: 2004 525i M Sport Automatic, M Sports Package, Bi-Xenons, Sunroof, Hot Climate Version, Navigation+TV, 18" Double Spoke 135M Alloys with Runflats, Anthracite Headliner, M Leather Steering Wheel. Through Load System, Hifi Loudspeaker System, Alu Cube Pure Interior Trim, Flashlight Cloth/Nappa Leather Sports Seats, M Sports Suspension
Dear fellow forummers,
Would like to get some advice on what could be the issue for my car's sunroof. Roof tilts and slides well, but the sunroof's shade does not slide along with the glass panel when it is going back. Neither will it slide back a few inches with the glass panel tilted up. Would appreciate if someone could shed some light on this case. I was asked to change the whole sunroof frame at a stealership here in Malaysia, which I find it pretty much ridiculous.
