The center compartment or if you don't have Nav,
see pic (the Yellow bit in the middle console).

The LCI has a better storage possibility, see other pic.

Door pocket for me.
My forward opening in the door pocket has protective lining...perfect for sunglasses!

Any ideas where they can be stored and readily accessible? Glove compartment is too far away and inconvenient.
Here!

I use one of those sticky pads or just put it in front of the i-drive screen!

Unless your sunglasses are made from glass, you don't want to put them anywhere but their case. Polycarbonate, plastic and hi-index will all scratch to some degree. Our moto is "If it's not on your face, its in the case". They also risk bending and getting out of adjustment and you'll lose that nice fit. I'm assuming you have an expensive pair of glasses. It would look silly to be sitting in a 50K+ auto with a cheapo pair of suns.

Additionally, the time your eyes need protection from harmful UV rays is outside the car, so maybe you should consider wearing them at all times. I wear mine even on cloudy days. UV damage can lead to cataracts. Not good!

$62,000 car and $6 pair of shades I picked up on the streets of Vegas...

Every nice pair I buy I either break or lose... I dropped at least three expensive pairs off my boat while fishing. They now reside at 44 feet below the sea just off the south tip of Block Island...

Funny how the cheapies never get lost or broken
