It's normal, I just turn up the L7 myself!!
You may have missed to get this fixed under warranty. NOT normal, may be common problem but definitely not normal. I have had mine fixed just two weeks ago, under warranty, they replaced the seal and super quiet now. I don't think this will be covered under CPO though.

I had my sunroof seal replaced today for excessive noise. They said the old one was "deformed". Much quieter now.

My 2007 525 was brought in Monday for the sunroof air leak and a rattling sound as well. I thought the noise was normal also but it has gotten worse over time. I suggested the seal is going bad and asked if there is a service life. The SA replied that there is not a set time for replacement but they do go bad over time. I am wondering at what point BMW figures this seal should last until. There are a lot of people here with the same problem on not very old vehicles. Hopefully, all goes well with the fix. My dealer has been pretty good to deal with.

this is not normal. the problem occurs because seal shrinks on the sun and it's a simple wear and tear. I took it to service, they replaced the seal and adjusted sunroof now it's quiet

I'm getting this done to my car as soon as the gasket comes in. The thing that has me worried is that the new loaner I was driving last week sounded loud too. Seems like it might be a hit and miss fix.

I checked noise on my 2009 328 loaner and wind sound was nominal. The seal on mine is definitely bad.

i hope i don't notice this either. My car was at the dealer getting the sunroof noise seal fixed along with other stuff only to notice when they pulled the car up their my windshield was cracked right where on the driver side (Left hand drive). so they had to keep it longer to fix that too.

where was your crack btw? mine looked it as it came out of no where. might have started somewhere under the seal.
