Manual 6-Speed
Good point Vlad
I love my e60 so much. I've only owned it for 6 months, but I love every mile I've put on it. Although I have the N52B30, 525i, it is still plenty quick enough for city driving(with AC off), and handles it self very well on the interstate. The 6-speed is the nicest manual I've ever driven with the exception of a 09 Z4, and the car itself is just awesome. Quickly accelerating the straight 6 through the gears feels so smooth, and can always make me happy if I'm having a shitty day.
I love the smell of the interior... I love the hugging side bolsters.... I love how when you are on an incline or hill with it in first(clutch held in) and you let your foot off the brake, the brakes hold the car for 2 seconds, then lets go .... I love the design, the long hood, the dashboard, the mods and retrofits available... The E60 is just amazing.
I honestly do not ever see myself getting rid of this car, but definitely upgrading it and modding it. BUT maybe down the road I'll save up and get a nice E46 M3 to park next to my E60 and have both!

When it comes to getting from point A to point B in a 4-wheeled vehicle over at least a decently-paved road, there's still no substitute and no peers out there to the E60. Unless you're dealing with another E60, a P-car, or better. Infinitis and all that crap - they try, but they don't take the trophy.
BMW E60, you ROCK!!!
I'll just leave it at that

Amen. Brother.
i wasn't thinking of buying this car , my wife spotted it on an auction and bought it as a gift , problem that it made me so power-hungry that I'm looking for an M5 right now .

Don't accept anything less!
So far, I've found the E60 to be effective against:
-bitchy wife syndrome
-bad moods
-headaches (and almost any aches)
-slow lanes
-boring roads
-boring cars
-boring drivers
-saving money for anything else other than mods
-getting out of the said E60...
I'm sure these are just a tip of an iceberg, as E60 seems to work to alleviate almost any type of ailment

But before M3 I had E46 325, so I was going to buy AMG C55, but end up with M3 anyway.
