Still no substitute
I bought mine last weekend. (08 535i Sport) I spent a solid month test driving everything from American muscle, Mercedes, Audi, VW, toyota, you name it, I drove it. Nothing could even touch this vehicle. The N54 is a BEAST

When it comes to getting from point A to point B in a 4-wheeled vehicle over at least a decently-paved road, there's still no substitute and no peers out there to the E60. Unless you're dealing with another E60, a P-car, or better. Infinitis and all that crap - they try, but they don't take the trophy.
BMW E60, you ROCK!!!
I'll just leave it at that

I keep trying to talk myself into Audi's or Mercedes, but every time I end up buying another Bimmer. Don't get me wrong, those others are nice cars, but BMW's just have that certain "je ne sais quoi".

I don't always break the speed limit, but when I do, I prefer the e60!
