When it comes to getting from point A to point B in a 4-wheeled vehicle over at least a decently-paved road, there's still no substitute and no peers out there to the E60. Unless you're dealing with another E60, a P-car, or better. Infinitis and all that crap - they try, but they don't take the trophy.
BMW E60, you ROCK!!!
I'll just leave it at that

My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny.
2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter.
Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.
I second that!!!!!
I hate to even say it and I apologize in advance to the current F10 owners who love their cars, but I have decided that I absolutely, positively will not replace my E60 with an F10. The look is too "mature" for me and so far I have not seen anyone driving that car who's under 60 (not that there's anything wrong with it). The most likely replacement for my '06 E60 is going to be a '10 E60 or a 3 series. A mini Cooper is also on the short list of possible replacements, but the 3 series will most likely be the winner as it is bigger than the Mini, yet retains the nimble characteristics.
