It's a'02 with 133k. Just recently the steering wheel has acquired an uneven turning pressure, both to the left and right. Sometimes it has a slight ratchet feel to it. I think I hear some rubbing in the steering column. Adjusting the steering wheel in and out, up and down has no effect. My local guy put it on a lift, everything in the front end appears tight and in order. Any ideas out there?? I've probably had a total of 10 BMWs but never this type of problem. Thanks.
