After a lot horror stories, I have decide to check mine today, because we have a lot rain in N.VA. Everything was dry but anyway I was tried re-route boxes on left side but the harnesses don't have enough length for PDS? box to move it there. So I have decided to use ziplock bags for those three electronics boxes. But I'm afraid it will sweat inside now, even I didn't seal completely. Does anyone know what are power dissipation for those boxes?

oic.

your best bet would be to just make sure you don't have any leaky seals.

i check mine whenever i wash my car.

i've read the horror stories also but never had a problem with it myself.

i moved mine to the passenger side of the car. if you remove the plastic trim where the trunk latch is on the body you will see the wiring harness comes from the passenger side and you can loosen as much as you want.

granted, this is on an 05 545, not an 07 530, you don't have the MPM back there anymore, so you might not have as much cabling.

How did you remove it? There are a small an access panels, but also couple very small round things with plastic cover on top, so my question is it screw underneath those plastic covers?
Also did you remove all three elect. boxes on pass. side?

Does anyone have any pics of the drain tubes that get clogged and cause water to empty into the trunk? I want to clean mine out or at least ensure they are clear of any debris but i have no idea where they are..

answered my own question. Hopefully this will help out those who had no idea where to find the drain tubes (myself included). Now, if only someone can chime in on how to access the front drain tubes. This is a task i wont overlook considering all of recent horror stories i have heard.
