Standard lug nut size?

My Ride: 2004 530i

I have the orginal lugs that came on my 04 530i luxury package and was wondering the metric size , if its 12 or 14mm so i can buy some locks for my new rims.. Thanks!

Mine are 17mm. I imagine they are standard.

The lug lock has to have the proper length and shoulder shape to prevent damage to your wheels. Why not but BMW locks - they're pretty reasonable - esp if you go to a dealer that offers 25% discount. And, just a bit of advice, purchase an extra "key" to keep at home - the other hidden away in your car. Because if you lose one it could take some time to secure a replacement ... and it is most likely to happen when you have a flat tire.

One additional advantage of getting an original BMW lock set is that dealer service centers are likely to have a key to help you out if you ever find yourself in a tough flat situation!

BTW lug is 12mm x1.5 ... the wrench you need to remove them is 17mm [see CW's post preceding].
