I just hope that it will eliminate the problem for good. I would hate to have to add this type of routine into my washing of the car. I wash it too much to do this everytime.

well happy to report the treatment seems to have worked !!

i am told the carbaflo polymer they coat the seals with will not be removed by normal washing, and it only needs one application. you can buy this stuff from BMW parts, but its a warranty item so get the dealer to sort it.

northernmonkey: I am happy to hear that the noise is gone. I can't wait to get it on my car hopefully this weekend. But with buying a new place, having spine surgery , and getting everything packed it may be a week or two.

Nice to hear also that the tech said that you would only need to do this once but I am still glad I just purchased it. From reading the bottle the silicone remover works on grease and oils too. So that could come in handy. So I was thinking last night that the Carbflo, since it is a lubricant, may work well on the door hinges and such.

Thank you for the update! Have a great weekend!

Well the dealer didn't use carbaflo on my car but was really proud they used the new and much better tape to get rid of the squicking sounds.. And yes it worked. For exactly 24 hours and the sound is back again as if nothing ever happened. I'm gonna visit them tomorrow and tell them I want the carbaflo treatment because I get so anoyed by the noises the doors make. It makes me feel driving a 25 year old Lada... grrrrr

I had the same problem starting a few weeks back. Took the car in, and UK dealer suggested replacing all the door seals. I took in the service bulletin (thanks guys) and he said "its under warranty, lets just replace them". So he did yesterday, and noise is now gone.
