In Germany the memory comes with the electrical seat adjustments for the driver, and it's standard on comfort seats (even for the passenger).
So, if you get sports seat without the electrical... NO. If you get the electrical adjustments... YES. The same for the standard seats. Memory on passenger seat is only available with comfort seats where it's standard.

Then the electrical adjustments are standard in the UK with sport seats. And that means YES. Because the memory comes with the electrical adjustments.
But to be a 100% sure on that I recommend you ask your dealer ! But IMHO, YES!

Does anyone know how to get the driver's seat to move back automatically after removing the key for easy exit?

The steering wheel does move up after removing the key.

The drivers seat is not supposed to move back when you pull your key out.
Not possible!

Hey Iceman,

The manual for USA says it does, but there is a little * next to the feature.
I have the sport seats. Maybe it's only available with comfort seat.

Thanks

Interesting.
It's definately not supposed to do this in German spec e60's.

I can't remember seeing it in the US manual, but... mine isn't doing it anyways...
That's probably the same like the power outlets... US spec cars has more than our German and Europe spec e60's...

How does one get the steering wheel to move up upon key removal. Mine hasn't done that. But I haven't yet programmed the keys to any memory function if that would be required.

In the UK options brochure (not sure which version) the Sports Seats, option 481, are described as:

"Sports Seats, front, with part-electric adjustment".

The description states that fore/aft and tilt angle is manually adjustable. Based on this it looks like full electric adjustment would need to be ordered as an additional extra.
