Well in the UK, the difference in cost between standard and sport is ?3,000 brand new. Not sure what it was like in 2004 or what the difference in the US is, but it's not just about the spec - it's about whether he paid sport or non-sport prices, if appropriate to the model and market.

I talked to the GM at Long Beach BMW who offered $750 to get rid of me I suppose. His rational: the current value of the Sport Package is $1500 and since the dealer installed the Sport Package wheels and tires he thinks its fair to split the difference. I don' t agree. I believe I've been harmed more than $750 worth. I having a face-to-face with this guy next to tell him he should buy back this car and sell me the car I was supposed to have in the first place. To me that repairs the harm done. If not, I'll tell him to keep his $750 and I'll continue to drive what I've got, but I won't be happy, I won't be a customer there anymore and I certainly won't recommend him to anyone who asks. Then again I still have the option of bringing a lawsuit. At least he admits they made a mistake. That's something.
Ya make them buy your car back!!

Are you the original owner? All sport package cars in the U.S. came with shadowline trim. Unless someone swapped it, it is not a sport car. Again, this is for U.S. cars only.
