Thanks.
Someone else also mentioned the Softline name to me in another post, but when I checked the Alpina website's wheel History section and Alpina E38 7er Catalogue I could not find any reference to the name Softline. The only names I could find are "Classic" and "Dynamic". Does that mean each of the "Classic style" wheels has a different name?

What car are you planning on putting your wheels on?

THanks mate. I see a lot of people here have already fitted their winter wheels, but I am hoping the Danish weather stays good a little while longer before I have to put my 19s on again. Have you fitted winter wheels yet?

I also think the M5 mirrors make one of the biggest visual impacts to our cars and you can actually see them from inside the car -- it puts a smile on my face every time I use my mirrors... (- yes, I know, we BMW drivers are not meant to use our mirrors )

xBMWx:

No winter wheels yet. The temperature is pretty good right now, so I'm waiting two more weeks.

I just received 4 new winter tires yesterday, so now I need to get them mounted on the rims and balanced..

Here's a link to a company in the UK that names all the Alpina wheels correctly, scroll down after you link up http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/alpina_alloys

I'm planning an E39 Touring project with all Alpina parts. I have the front lip, wheels and some front Alpina calipers I found on the UK ebay site. I'm working on a steering wheel as well. I've never seen a E39 with 20" Softlines. I'm planning to lower the car substantially to make the 20's look right and not big.
