After wheels and kit, the M5 Mirrors are the must-have mod IMHO. Expensive, but not more than the LCI tail-lights upgrade and do more for the car visually IMHO... and you can see them when you are in the car too, well that's assuming you use your mirrors!

Thanks mate. I guess there is a good reason Alpina calls them the "Classic"! Should hopefully also help the resale value or maybe I can get them to fit on the F10/F11

BTW when will you get those nasty black grills.
I have thought about black grills a number of times, but I think the car looks mean enough as it is and I also like the contrast of the grills. I'm certainly not a chrome fan, but for now still prefer this look on my car. (I would black grills on a lighter car straight away.)

Great pics! The car looks great. Wheels and mirrors suit the car well.

Thanks for the compliment. I was thinking the same about the wheels on your M3!

Talking of your wheels, I actually spent a couple of months looking for 20" OEM Radial 32s like the ones you had on your 545i. As you know, they are similar to the Alpina Classics and are OEM, which would fit with the theme of my car. When I finally found a set of used 20" Radial 32s, to my surprise the buyer wanted stupid money for them, so I ended up with the Alpinas after all! Were your 20" Radial 32s comparitively expensive at the time?

I assume you mean its more understated / conservatively modded than the US cars, right?
I try to keep my cars looking as OEM and clean as possible, just adding subtle mods, e.g. M5 Mirrors and M5 Trunk Finisher. Admitidly the Alpinas are not OEM, but they're pretty close! Most people don't notice, but I certainly do

The car looks great with those wheels, but they are not Classics, they are actually called Alpina Softline's. The Alpina Classic's have the smaller cap in the middle. I actually have a set in my garage waiting for a project car I have plans for.
