I am getting a Run Flat replaced today and why I was there he said they would update the software for me. He wasn't sure of the exact version number but said they just got it about 2 weeks ago. If it is 16.2, what will it change/fix?

Just droped off my car at the dealership to get numerous things resolved. I am so upset right now because for the first time they had a mechanic ride with me to see the numerous issues i had with the car.

Idrive freezes on occasion: I could not get it to even hicup

brakes screatch constantly: Did get it to happen once to day but then it stopped

throttle lag and rought idle: DId not waiver any throughout the test run

Cd skipping: Did get it to skip twice

auto lights stay on constantly: Did show this to him

Sunroof wind noise: He noticed this and closed the cover to eliminate the noise

Engine oil: Due according to Idrive

Ac smell: Will disenfect but not replace microfilters, i previously vaccumed them off and sprayed with cologne.

He informed me that he would run the standard scope, may replace the radio unless bulitine is out on how to repair buffer underruns, will check and possibly update software as i have 13.2 and he informed me that 17.0 is on its way so may put me at 16.2 maybe my tcu wont handle it (wishfull thinking?)
change the oil and check bulitiens on brake 7 series had to have the brake sensor filed down to get ride of the noise says he.

will keep you posted on the progress and once again i got a x3 loaner again a nice BMW.

RE: #2 My CD stops and stays off until I hit mute off. Now on the occasion when I hit mute off AND shut off car the CD still stays off (1 sec, 1 minute, 1 hour, 1 day, etc) until I start car up again and hit accept disclaimer. Then the CD starts from where I left it off when I shut down. Not sure if ur symptom is the same or not.

Yes, same symptom. You mute the CD stops. When you return to the car and start it up, the sound is still muted but the CD is spinning. This verified by going to entertainment. You see the CD timer moving. Stay muted and you may be a few CDs past where you left off.
