My car's been in service for three days - replacing steering rack, and various other issues - and they gave me a X3. It's actually a pretty cool little vehicle.

It's like a 3 series SUV. I assume that's what it is. Clean, tight, drives great, good option package. I love the full-length glass roof.

I was pleasantly surprised. My only complaint is it's a little bumpy/bouncy with the runflats. I hope they get that figured out.

My wife and I just (well, 2 weeks ago) returned from a 2-week drive through northern Italy in our ED X3 3.0 We loved it. It soaked up the mountain roads like a champ and handled the autostrada/autobahn pretty well, too.

Ours definitely didn't have RF tires, though. I know this because I was run off the road on a small country road in Tuscany and blew a 3/4" rip in the sidewall.

It's funny, I'm assuming they're RFs. I didn't actually look, but there's a little flat tire button on the dash, and they're either RFs or WAY overinflated.

Our's has the FTM button, too.

I think, most probably, is that they are grossly overinflated. That seems to be a problem with the X3 as delivered from the factory; the tires come inflated to the recommended pressure for a Max gross weight scenario (5 people + cargo).
