No. I just found a good technician recommended by my local dealer (Paris) who apparently knows the software more than the others. They can normally get access to the BMW database to get info but many of them are reluctant to do so or are not properly trained or even not interested.

You may also try to call the BMW France customer service desk located @ the BMW France headquarters (78 Bois-D'arcy) for raising complaints - see yellow pages.
