Really don't understand the disrespect shown here for the 328i and 3's in general here. They are still widely regarded as the best cars in their class, are a hoot to drive (I also own a 06 325i 6MT) and hold their value. Granted, its not as luxurious or big as a 5 or 7, but then BMW wouldn't want there to be competition within its own ranks, would they?

Dead right. The E90 is a fine car.

For some people they don't have an open mind like others.
Bring this same subject to the 3 series forum and I guarantee you that the 3 series will say the similar things about the 5 series cars being a boat, bulky, and clumsy..

For me, I'm a true car enthusiasts, I don't discriminate and enjoy and appreciate cars of all size and badges.

+2.

The E90 has actually done better in many car mag's comparison tests in its class than the E60 has in its class.

E90 is not right for me due to its tiny back seat. But I'm pushing 40 with a wife, a son, a dog and a mother in law all of whom I drive all the time. Were I young, single and in my 20s again (those were the days , the E90 would have been at the top of my list.

The E60 is perfect for my needs. Not too big (i.e., 7 Series) and not too small (i.e., 3 Series). It's just right.
