It might appear you are skipping gears but it must go through each sequencial gear to get to the next.

OR does it skip the disengaging the cutch part while passing through 5th?
Like it just goes into 5th with out disengaging the clutch and then 4th and THEN disengages the clutch?

[/quote]Oh I just saw this. So it doenst engage the gears but does it still shift into them? Like if a human were to do it I would move the lever from 6 to 4 then let out the clutch. Does the SMG do that or does it move the stick from 6 to 5 to 4 THEN let out the clutch?

As far as I can tell, the car disengages the clutch from sixth, selects fourth, and engages the clutch again. The indicator on the dash will show a 6-5-4 countdown but the car is smart enough not to waste any time selecting fifth...

the answer is yes definitely you can, but i will trust a professional.
apart from just bolting on the wheels, my guy here in toronto:
1.
uses a torque wrench to apply the exact amount of tightening force to each nut of the wheel.
2.
they clean and inspect the arm/joints/hub/brake line/wheel arch for corrosion or any prematrue wear. there is rust, brake dust and minor pieces of debris (trapped sand and stones etc) which needs to be properly cleaned by a wire gauz/brush and anti corrision grease applied.
3.
properly rotate and full inspection of tires.
4.
pack and store the other set of wheels for the next season.
5.
* NOT having to get your hands dirty!!
it usually takes about an hour (including waiting time), but well worth the $30.
always service with a smile, nice chit chat with owners of other bmw/mercedes/lexus/porsche/ audi etc.
Good question, Can you?
