OK first tuesday in Jan. I brought my car in to get a new sticker and have my 2 front windows fixed I also told them that latley my car has been makeing wratteling noises pretty bad.... OK got a call that day saying that they would need a few days because they did replacate the window problem and they needed some part and also they needed some clips that is why my car was making that ratteling noise..... well a few days later it is now worse.. Does anyone else have the noise over bumps problem? Oh and the other day I couldn't get my passenger window up and the trap light came on.. then I got it up shut the car off when I came back from my house and turned the car back on it was fine again..... I thought BMW's where build like tanks? WTF????

What the hell was that response? Am I missing something? Someone translate please? How is that "gay" to complain about a $40k + car that is a year old sounding like a 1975 Buick?

Rattles on E60 are common ( too common for a premium car ) but are usually fixable. I always try to fix mine without using the dealer, as my experience is that the dealer are a waste of time unless there is a serious fault. There previous attempts at fixing my parcel shelf rattle resulted with 4 days off the road / trashed rear air bag covers which needed another visit when I pointed it out to them & it still rattled!!.
I fixed it after an hour & a reel of foam..
Could you give an idea where the noise if from, I bet someone here has a suggestion. If it is rear shelf I resolved by pushing foam between the parcel shelf & rear seat back, pushed it down the crevice there. It is out of sight & stops the problem.

Door seals! I have the same problem. They need to be lubricated, or changed, latter preferred.
