To clarify Beewang's quote from the owner's manual, it says to use the handbrake as an alternative to holding the car on a hill with the accelerator. I don't interpret that to mean that the manual is saying you should always use the handbrake when starting out on a hill.

As we said earlier, if you have an SMG on a steep hill, don't use the gas to hold it on the hill. When it's time to go, simply move your foot from the brake to the gas quickly and you'll not move back very far. If you want additional security, you can use your left foot on the brake while you gas with the right. Doing that will guarantee that you won't drift back at all yet you won't be damaging or overheating the clutch.

N/M dont worry about it. you were clearifying somthing that didnt need to clearify. I know bee quoted the stupid manual. I know it says that. But What I was really intereseted is if you didnt use the Hand brake or didnt use left foot breaking waht would happen. I didnt like stupid Bee's comment on learn to drive a fucken manual and go get a refund on who taught you how to drive a manual. I'm dropping the issue now and not responding to this thread.

If you were the only one reading this thread and you know what Beewang was saying all along, then fine. I felt it was important to clarify Bee's post because it was misleading and, in my opinion, needed clarification. I wasn't posting directly to you, I was posting to the group. There are many others here who read these threads so it's possible that not all of them interpret things the same way you do.

It's not my fault that Bee's comment pissed you off...
