My Ride: April Delivery 2005 - 545i Orient Blue/Beige Leather. Sport & Premium packages/Navigation/Heads-Up display/Premium Sound/Cold Weather Pkg/Park Distance Control/SMG/Split fold down rear w/ski pkg.
Currently: 2002 - 530i Steel Blue Metalic. Sport & Premium packages/Navigation/Cold Weather Pkg/Split fold down rear w/ski pkg.
Some of you may recall my last SMG breakdown on the West Side Hwy about 6 months ago. Well it happened again last Wednesday, this time in Westchester. Car was taken via flatbed to Wide World of Cars in Spring Valley, NY for service. After the SM contacted Munich they advised to change the transmission. This is the 4th time I've had this problem over a 1 year period. If this latest remedy does not fix the problem the next step is to replace the vehicle. Other than the SMG problems the car is a fantastic vehicle. My hope is that this will be the final chapter with this problem. I'll let you know how it turns out. I was told to expect the car back this Wednesday.

They replaced the hydro pumps and the control unit six months ago.
