Sirius Module question?

I found out today that my car is equipped with a sirius satellite radio module. Ive never used this, nor plan on using it.. Is there anyway i can uninstall and sell it? How much do they go for? Thanks

You can remove the module and sell it. I think it is on the driver's side in the trunk, behind the removable panel. Do a search on the forum to be sure on the location. And as Martin points out, check eBay to see what a ballpark price range might be...

Yea i know where it is, i saw it today. I checked ebay and saw one for $200 but im not sure if its the one i have. Heres the link:

Good question, I've had Sirius on both my E60's but have never looked at the module...

you can remove it, but you'll have to close the fiber optic loop after you remove it with a loopback plug (not too expensive) , and I think you'll need reprogramming so the radio doesn't look for the unit. might end up costing more than the unit will fetch on ebay.
