What?! No heated discussion here? Well, I just wasted my time preparing my WMD intended for Iceman.? I also prepared a joke for him too...

P.S. WMD Words of Mass Discussion
I would really like to hear the joke...
Do I really need to get in "the mood" again just to hear it ?

WMD... "I'd hit it!"

OK here is the joke, hey Ice, don't ge offended alright. I was gonna use it on the "foglight" thread, but I kept my cool until my very last post. But here it goes:

Remember the movie "TOPGUN"? There is a scene where Maverick (Tom Cruise), after being beaten by Iceman (Val Kilmer) in an air battle excercise, was in a bar drinking with disgust. The alcohol finally let all Maveryck's anger out with a loud shout "Man, that Iceman is such an a$$hole."

A man from a far corner got up and walked towards Maverick and said "I demand you to take back what you've just said. I am deeply offended by your comment."

Why? said Maverick, "You're not Iceman"

The guy responded, "No, but I am an a$$hole"

Hey Iceman, I meant no offense. Saurab made me tell it.

Let me just apologize to you first.

My dealer wanted to charge $55 to activate or deactivate the DRL. Is this correct? My car was in service to replace the A/C compressor (noise issue). I thought for sure the DRL thing is free of charge, when the car is in for service.

I was very unhappy about the dealer. The service advisor told me to bring the car in at 7:30 in the morning for the A/C compressor replacement. When I brought the car in, she said the parts for the compressor did not come in. When the parts finally came next week, I told the SA to activate DRL and install the BMW wheel locks. She wanted to charge $55 for DRL and $30 for wheel locks. I guess it's ok to waste other people's time, but they charge every minute for mechanic's time. At least the A/C compressor noise is gone now.
What dealer did you go to? I was hoping to get it done when I took the car in for some warranty issues. If I have to pay, then there staying on for sure.

Personally, I would like the Angle Eyes to be a bright HID color and use them as DRL.
You could do something like this

i think that's not right . i understand for the wheel locks since that's something you add on but the drl? c'mon ! you should talk to your sales advisor instead of service advisor because he was the one who got your commission and i'm sure he'll have it done for you, free of charge .

heezy545i, I would love to do that, and as far as emailed them. cut and paste of exchange below:

<<<<Unfortunately, we can't get any upgrades for that car.

WE CAN do HID fogs lights though Those would only be $300 + shipping

?m?nitza inc.>>

Too whom it may concern,

I will be acquiring a '05 E60 545i in November and was wondering if any of
the Angel Eye upgrades would be available for this car. I was specifically
looking to try and get the HID/Phosphyre look over the standard yellowish
color of the stock ones. I would like them to match closely to the Xenons,
and provide a brighter than stock appearance.

The headlights will be the xenon, adaptive on the car.

Thank you for your time, and appreciate any information that I can get.
