Not in the UK it wouldn't be. You'd have a nightmare shifting a white car!

The wait is nearly over Rudy, looking good!!!

Hope the dents get sorted out quickly, as Ricracing posted is the wood trim the same colour??? It looks darker on the centre console?

Nice car - congrats.! BTW, I picked up my Carbon Black 550i Sports with Sport tranny on 7/3. I can not wait until the car is broken in.
Hey Rick24C - since you are one of the very few (so far) to have the 2008 550i w/ Sport auto tranny, how about offering up a review on this thread on how the different modes feel, what you like / don't about it, etc...? ?I think you have only about 1000 eager readers ready to devour your "owner" impressions....??

And great choice too - looking forward to mine in less than 2 months! ?

Great car Rudy!

Leasing makes a lot of sense in your case as % resale may suffer given the limited number of used car buyers who will want to pay for all of your options.

We are all looking forward to any impressions regarding the shift quality/speed.

It's a little hard to see in the attached photos but you can see at least 5 dings in the hood crease that runs from the right-side mirror (or A-pillar area) down toward the headlight (between the headlight and grille)...
Attachment 34952
The hood is made of aluminum, so the best thing would be to them to order a new hood and paint it.
Then you just take your car in for a hour or so to get the hood changed.

Did you take a better pic of the woods and are they really in mixed shades? See pic.

Great car, congratulations.
Waiting to see you test on Sport automatic gear.
Why it does not have the Msport steering wheel?

USA cars (maybe North America) don't get that compartment -- for whatever reason. We've speculated that it was removed to improve the crash test results for our market since that compartment might contribute to a knee injury. Again, I don't think we know for sure, it's just speculation.

Don't know, are you talking about it not having the little 'M' badge? Other than that, I think it's the wheel I expected (and the leather wrap looks much nicer than the awesome SMG wheel I've had for the last three years or so...)

I agree the wood looks different but it could be the lighting/angle of the photo. I didn't get a chance to sit in the car or anything yet so I don't know for sure it it's mismatched or not.
