Go to a thesaurus for a list of superlatives then when you get your car, strike those out which don't apply.
Advantages: we get the review early. And you end up having nothing to strike out!
Strange how it's well into July and this side of the pond appear to be showing limited interest in this transmission. Actually it's not that strange.

The woods look like Light Poplar in the dash (like mine has)
but as Dark Poplar in the doors and the middle part around the shifter?
The light might do the trick...?

My Ride: 525d M Sport in Carbon Black
Rudy i took time to read through this post again and i really can't believe the prices paid in the US for such a stunning car, i know there are many factors but if i simply do a straight currency exchange i have paid around 2500 GBP more for my 525d M Sport than what you have paid for your 550i, at present rates it works out as follows 83,080.00 USD = 40,849.47 GBP.
To say I'm green with envy is an understatement BUT I'm still loving my e60 as if i only collected it from the dealer yesterday
If it wern't for the LHD I'd be looking into shipping one of those 550's over to the UK, I'm sure I could cut a shipping deal better than ?2500

Don't forget that the $83k needs to have taxes added and the price YOU paid includes 17.5% VAT.
Also remember that exchange rates fluctuate and are at an all (recent) time high for the ? versus the $ and also you can never get the InterBank exchange rate!
General point taken but some equalisation needed.

Don't know, are you talking about it not having the little 'M' badge? Other than that, I think it's the wheel I expected (and the leather wrap looks much nicer than the awesome SMG wheel I've had for the last three years or so...)

Yes, but is not only the M badge has also the space for the toes just above the central spokes and it is completely black. Might be that it is not available in the US but it is standard in Europe with M package.
