My Ride: 2005 545i, Black on Black, sport package, dynamic package, performance package...

Has anyone had discolouration problems with their shadowline?
I am finding that mine is discolouring badly almost as if the colour is coming off when I wash the car or take it through the car wash. It actually is running down the sides of the car in colours.

This could be conditioning chemicals. Have you ever applied anything to the rubber that is meant to maintain/restore the look of the trim? I've had those kinds of solutions run onto bodywork with previous cars I've owned.

Dirt trapped in the trim could also account for the darkly colored stream of running liquid during the washing of the car.
