need a place to get a starter installed and some stuff to be looked at. Gone through yelp and stuff but rather hear it from fellow members who's dealt with good independent BMW shops. thanks guys. Looks like I'll be towing the car so something within 10-20 miles would be good.

Assuming you are out of warranty (like I am), I would try Coast Motor Werkes (CMW) on Chemical Lane, Huntington Beach. It is close to the Naval Weapons grounds near Bolsa Chica and not too far for you. Ask for Brad.
